Our main sponsor, Anson Group, provide us with the fabulous clothes which give us such a solid group identity when we are in Lourdes. However, there are plenty of other opportunities for businesses and individuals to support Group 170 by paying for a specific item or activity. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| For example, most days we visit a cafe to give the children an experience of the French culture (for “culture” read “ice cream”!) and the helpers an opportunity for a sit down, albeit with singing and crazy game playing! Each cafe visit costs around £75. During the week we use a large group candle for our Masses, and add prayers and thanks to it, before taking it down to the grotto to continue our prayers after we have left. The candle costs between £60-80. There are many more examples of activities if you would be interested in sponsoring one (have a look at Outings to see if there is anything you particulalrly fancy sponsoring). Each child’s fare costs £720 and anyone who would like to contribute to this will receive a postcard from the child whilst they are in Lourdes, as well as the thanks and prayers of the whole group. We also need items of play equipment, arts and crafts goods and various pieces of safety equipment such as stair gates, baby monitors, door alarms etc. If you would be interested in contributing to any of these, please get in touch. |
