Amy was 16 when she travelled with us in our first year as Group 170, 2009. Her helpers were Charlie and Hannah. Amy has Leigh Syndrome, which led to her having diabetes, needing tube feeding and causing her mobility to deteriorate. | ||||||||||||

| Amy was a huge hit with the boys as they never failed to raise a smile in her. She especially enjoyed being out and about, feeling the wind on her face and joining in with her lovely laugh with people having fun with her.
Sadly, Amy died in June 2011 having been seriously ill for some time. Her parents, Wayne and Val, sent this message to the group: “We would like to thank you once again for what you did for Amy by taking her away to France with the group, which we knew she really enjoyed and thank you for the cards that you sent at Easter time. Amy will be sadly missed by everyone.” |
