What's your role in the Group? Deputy Group Leader
Richard was born and raised in Wokingham, Berkshire with his two brothers, but now mostly lives in Southampton, except for some weeknights which he spends in Wokingham due to work. After completing his A Levels at The Henley College in Reading, Richard moved to Southampton, where he completed a degree in Pure Maths. (Yes, he loves numbers).
His Maths degree has put him in a good position for his deputy group leader role for Group 170, as he has to deal with all the accounts. Like Roxy, Richard first began travelling to Lourdes with HCPT in Easter 2006. He loves all the activities they do whilst they are there. He is the group musician as he plays the guitar, and often has the whole group singing silly songs and doing lots of actions. When in Lourdes, his guitar goes everywhere with him!
Richard helped Roxy set up the new Southampton HCPT group, and enjoys doing all the accounts side of the charity. He can’t wait for Easter 2010, as he enjoys all the joy the children bring to Lourdes.
When Richard is not working, preparing for Lourdes or playing his guitar, he loves to be lazy. He loves watching action packed DVD’s, eating anything, but particularly curry, and he loves swimming. He also loves cars and is currently training for his advanced motorist certificate.
