The Trip - Our Pilgrimage Holiday

"HCPT The Pilgrimage Trust” is so named because the trip to Lourdes undertaken each Easter by thousands of adults and children is a pilgrimage. That is, it is a journey to a place of significance in the faith life of both the founder of HCPT and many of the Trusts’ members today.

During our trip to Lourdes, the group will get to know the religious places, visit the historical sites and experience the wonder that is Lourdes, particularly when HCPT is in residence! Of course - all this comes with a big dose of fun and laughter.

The glory of the week is not just in the prayer and praise but in the Christian love that each pilgrim, adult or child, experiences in their own way.

Background Information

Several stories come together to form the background to any HCPT group’s pilgrimage holiday to Lourdes: those of all the group members, Dr Michael Strode (the founder of HCPT), Bernadette Soubirous (the girl who saw Mary), and of course, the Christian faith. For those who have no experience of HCPT or Lourdes we have tried to explain a bit about each of these.
