We met outside St Edmund's Church early in the morning and were waved off by our Mums and Dads, and some of our parish priests Fr Vincent and Fr Paul. The coach journey flew by and we soon arrived at Gatwick airport where we saw lots of coaches, aeroplanes and hundreds of people!
After a snack,we got on the plane and there were lots of other colourful groups there too. People were singing and waving and there was a big cheer when we took off! We had a lot of fun swapping our Group 170 badges with people from all over the country and then the stewardesses brought us lunch and drinks.
When we landed, Albie and Georgie got all our bags and then our chairs came up to the plane in a special lift. We got another coach to our hotel and then we had dinner and unpacked. Although it wasn't very late back in England, we were all very tired so after baths and showers Lauren read us "Room on the Broom" and we all made the noises! Then we got settled in to our rooms and fell fast asleep.
We are looking forward to going to the Animal Parc tomorrow and meeting up with another group in our region for Mass, Group 117. We will also add some more pictures from today as we have been so busy having fun there hasn't been time to upload everyone's photos! Sending love to all our friends back home...
