Today, we had breakfast in our hotel and then a coach came to take us to the animal park. We saw lots of pretty birds, watched some clever otters and fed the big bears. Then we went to a special area where we could hold and stroke the guinea pigs. Jack also saw lots of buses at the zoo!
In the afternoon we learnt about St Bernadette and why we come to Lourdes on our pilgrimage. Then we went to walk through the grotto where Mary told Bernadette to dig and fresh water appeared. We could touch the stones in the grotto which have been worn smooth over the years from millions of people running their hands along them.
It was very sunny today so we played games on the meadow with some other groups. We had a sing along, blew bubbles, played with the parachute and some of us went for long walks!
In the evening we had our pirate party and we ate our dinner in the party room! Alex won the pass the parcel and Lloyd won the treasure map game. We were all very tired after all the fresh air so we went straight to bed and were all quickly asleep.
Tomorrow we are decorating-shirts to wear to the regional party and will be playing games on the meadow again. In the evening some of us will be joining the torchlight procession.
